Windows Explorer Views Default

Since getting my new computer with Windows XP Home 5.1
I've not been able to get the file view to default to
List or Details as it did on my earlier Windows version.
Now it always defaults to Tiles and each time I'm obliged
make a one-time change to List or Details. How can this
default be changed.

Hi,

Have you tried tools/folder options/viewe tab, "apply to all folders"?
