Hi guys,
I'm at my witts end.
My wife inadvertantly downloaded a game for my daughter
from Nick.com (Nickolodeons web site) and along with the
software came Gator and a host of other Garbage. What
tipped me off that something had gone wrong (and that she
had downloaded anything)was my firewall (zone alarm)
asking me if I wanted to let Windows Explorer acces the
web. I believe I wasable to uninstall gator and all its
tentacles (CMEII, the banners, etc.), but still everytime
I click on IE, Zone Alarm askes me if I want to let
Windows Explorer access the internet. If I click no, then
my IE connection dies. IF I click yes, then it shows that
Windows Explorer, and not Internet Explorer is accessing
the web. I've uninstalled and re-installed IE, run Norton
Diagnostics and looked in my registry. I just don't get
it.
Any idea out there as to what the hell happened and how I
can fix it?
