How can I get Windows Explorer to open with My Computer at the top of the
list instead of my Documents?
Thanks for any help. This is such an annoying thing :(

Right click your Explorer Icon/short cut and in the target put
explorer /e,::{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D} <apply>

WinKey+E also opens in "My Computer"

Easiest way to make shortcuts to any place within Explorer is to open
Explorer and set it up so where you want to be is visible (My Computer as
your question), right click the item (My Computer) and either slide to your
desktop and choose Paste Shortcut when you release the mouse or.....
right click the item, choose Copy. Go to your desktop, right click and
choose Paste Shortcut from the menu.

Then, so you can remember what the shortcut is for (if it is not obvious)
rename the shortcut to whatever tells you what it is. I.E. rename to
"Explorer - My Computer".
