windows explorer failing

Every so often I get the message Windows Expolrer faild and it reports the
error then resets my desktop, not all of the trayu iocons are visible after
this even. This is annoying, it happens a few times a session. Any
suggestions, I'm using XP Pro, IE 7, Norton Anti-virus2007, Spysweeper and
Mcafee Firewall.

Hi Bill,

Two questions for you are:

Do you have XP's SP2 installed?
Do you have ALL the critical updates installed?

If not, it might be a good idea to install those and then see if it
corrects your problem.

If you already have all those installed, I would try uninstalling IE7,
reboot and see if the problem is alleviated.
