When creating new folders, I repeatedly have to change the
view from "tiles" (apparently, the default) to "details"
(my personal preference). Can I change a setting to
make "details" the default?

I've tried selecting "apply to all folders" on the "view"
tab of "folder options" from the "tools" menu, but it
doesn't fix the problem.

Travis;
I posted a couple of questions related to this at the
configuration_manage newsgroup and as yet have not seen any responses.
Checking: Remember each folder's view settings in Folder Options/View does
NOT help either. All I have been able to do is change ALL folders, not
individual ones. Either there is something we are missing.
Or there is a bug as I have already found out today. Related to
Customizing a folder and changing it's icon. Apparently if you pick a
certain icon, XP thinks it is another one and there is nothing you can do
unless someone sends you that particular icon.
I would really appreciate some advice about this, I don't have much hair
left.
Respectfully,
Wes
