Windows Explorer Crashes

I'm having a problem with Windows Explorer hanging and crashing frequently
and seemingly at random. I can go days without having symptoms, but at other
times, it'll act up for days on end. When browsing local and network
directories and resources, and when I click to open a file (no file in
particular, it could be any), Explorer throws an error and closes. From the
event viewer, the following is what I get:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Application Error
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1000
Date: 8/1/2006
Time: 11:10:53 AM
User: N/A

Description:
Faulting application explorer.exe, version 6.0.2900.2180, faulting module
netapi32.dll, version 5.1.2600.2180, fault address 0x000390dc.

I'm not able to get much out of my "googling" in trying to find a solution.
Each and every time, however, it's always the netapi32 module fouling up
explorer at the same address. Any suggestions, resolutions? Thanks all!

You do not say what system/OS/ etc you have.

Hi PGA
Should have mentioned that your post may be better served in the Windows
Internet Explorer discussion group as you have posted via that web
interface.
Choose IE5 or IE6 whichever is applicable.
Good luck
