Windows Explorer closes unexpectedly when I open My Network Places

Windows Explorer closes unexpectedly when I open My
Network Places. I have gotten help from a Microsoft
technical support professional, and thought the problem
was fixed, but it came back. I had originally thought the
problem was caused by Norton Antivirus, but after
uninstalling the program, it still happened, so I think
it must be something else. If anyone else has dealt with
this problem, please respond to this thread with how you
resolved it.

I had the same problem and it seemed to start when I disconnected my crossover cable from my other labtop on my network while in the middle of transfering some files. After that every time i opened network and clicked on my shared file folder, window explorer would shut down and restart? Go figure? I haven't been able to fix it.
