Well, I am having the same problem as posted earlier.
When I right click on an icon, Windows Explorer crashes.
I am also having a problem with Windows Update not
initializing my download. It never starts. I'm not sure
what is causing the problem, or how to fix it. Restoring
my machine is not an option, nor do I consider it a fix.
I don't have a problem updating Windows manually, but
Internet Explorer is also unable to load links in a new
window. They always lock up, I have to stop the page load
and refresh it for it to load.
I've tried the Windows Update troubleshooting solution
for my problem, and it didn't fix it. I HAVE NOT
installed Service Pack 2. I have kept current with
updates, and I have no reason to believe it's a virus,
spyware, malware, etc. I personally believe it has
something to do with incorrect registry keys.
Any help is appreciated, except help that involves a
fresh install/system restore. I wish Microsoft would look
into this. Thanks in advance for any help.
