Windows Exploer Crash Memory can not be written

I have a folder with over 5 gig in Tiff images and
everytime I open it in windows explorer I get an error
stating, "The instruction at 0x77f580db referenced memory
at 0X00470045 The memory could not be written." This is a
new OEM computer and I am running Adobe photoshop 7 on it.

If Windows works well otherwise, I would suspect that Photoshop or the
pictures cause this problem.
