Windows event sounds

I've added the XP Sound Scheme into my build but still can't get the windows
event sounds working.
But I can play the wav files in control panel.
I'm using minlogon.
Got any ideas?

Isn't the Explorer[.exe] that plays most of the AppEvents\Scheme sounds?
There are other components that do so as well (Winlogon, etc.) but Explorer
seems to be the biggest sound consumer (player).

You mentioned minlogon, what events then you think would be played with it?
AFAIK, minlogon does not play any sounds from AppEvents\Scheme (no
SystemStart, Windowslogoff, etc.).

Well that reaffirms my suspicions.
I was thinking maybe it wasn't supported by minlogon, but I wasn't so sure.
Using Filemon in XP pro, I did noticed that winlogon handled the event
sounds.
I was looking for a way to use minlogon without recoding the app, but I
guess I can't get around that.

Mark,

A quick search in [win]/[min]logon binaries shows that Winlogon handles the sounds effects while Minlogon unfortunately does not.
I guess if you are stuck with Minlogon, you will need to handle the events within your own app.
