windows error

Hey! While playing Neverwinter Nights(original version), my computer goes wacky and a blue screen pops up with the following error:

"A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your compute

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL...

there's more to the error but it just states how to troubleshoot and the technical information. The advice given doesn't help

I've updated my sound & video card drivers but it still does not solve the problem. My computer also exceeds the recommended requirements to play the game. Also, will excessive restarts damage my computer

Please help. Thanks very much.
 
Hi,

That error message indicates a driver issue. Troubleshooting it can be
lengthy. Check that your hardware and the drivers for it meet the
compatibility list:
