When I got my Copy of Windows XP, I installed
it on the same machine 3 times, so I could use it
for different purposes. ( I don't know if this could be
the problem )

I configured one System and installed the drivers,
and I had no problems, as long as the computer
restarted. But when I turned it of, and tried to
restart it, the system first hung, in normal boot,
then in Safety Mode, an Finally I got a blue Screen
while booting. I couldn't reach the startmenü after the
bluescreen.
When I tried to reinstall windows, I had to erase all
Partitions before I could reinstall windows.

I have these Problems since weeks now.
It reboots using the 'last known good configuration' after
pressing F8 on bootup, but with this option I cannot
install any Programms or anything on windows.

Has this Problem occurred before? Is there a solution?
I hope somebody can help me with this.

Thanks in advance
Stephan Oncken.

Maybe I am missing something here, but why the h*ll would you want to
install an operating 3 times on the same machine? What different purposes
could you be using it for. Your entire hard drive is probably nothing but
operating system. Where do you put your apps? My advice is format the
entire system and start over, but this time only put one XP on it.

Although I don't know why Stephan is doing what he is
doing, the question as to why is irrelevant; he *should*
be able to do this without a problem, and that is the
issue. For my own uses, by the end of the weekend, my
computer will (cross your fingers) have eight OSs on it.
Wiping the system and having a single instance is a
solution, but not for everybody. As for Stephan, can you
give us a little more information? Does it boot to the OS
select screen, and allow you to select which OS you want
to boot? If you installed XP into three different
partitions, then you should have no problem, and should be
presented with a list of available OSs to boot; if you
installed all three into the same partition, then they
effectively overwrote each other and... God only knows.

I installed them on different partions,
for work, game, media purposes.

With the first and second boot, I could get to the
screen where I got to choose the Operating System,
and then it crashed.
After the second boot, my pc didn't even reached that
screen.

Now I run only one OS on the first partition, changed the
Audio Card, no avail.
The screen show's the light blue background,
and the window which later get's exchanged by the
Logon box, say's 'windows is loading...'.
Sometime's the second boot work's I just recently noticed.
But not allway's???

Puzzled
Stephan.
