Windows Desktop Search Executable

I keep getting a dialogue informing me that this has encountered a problem.
I can close the box but it reappears every minute or so. How can I stop it?

Thanks. Is it the indexing service under windows components in control panel
uninstall?

It's nothing to do with Windows. It's a program you installed.
