I commonly get this error message: "Windows delayed
write failed. Windows was unable to save all the data for
file F:\$Mft. The data has been lost. The error may be
caused by a failure of your computer hardware or network
connection. Please try to save the file elsewhere."
The computer seems to function normally. F is my backup
drive where I place Ghost backups.
I figured that since the error message mentions trying
to write to F:\$Mft I would make a folder with that name
on the F drive and see what happens.
Interesting result: when I try to make a folder with that
name it says that 'a file with that name already exists'.
It won't let me do it.
Write caching is diabled.
I see no such folder with that name or file with that
name....
Help appreciated!

You tried enabling write cache for the drive itself?
I see that choice under the PROPERTIES|HARDWARE|Policy tab

It was already enabled for all drives so I tried
disabling it. Nothing changed.
Thanks
