I had this problem...first with a program that connects with an internet gaming site...(gave up on the site)..then with AOL...investigated here...saw comment(Robert) to create new user account...and deleted the old user account.....tried it ...it worked once...then the problem recurred.....so I created yet another account, but did not delete the old one...it sits marked do not use......this has worked great for a couple of weeks now...no re-occurrance...personally, I think it's a virus or some such bug....but isolating it in an unused user account seems to keep it from "jumping" to the new user account.....hope it works for you....
