I tried saving a task on it then it kept coming up every time I started my
computer. Now when I try to save a task, it tells me it can't because
calendar is disabled...

Liane:

Did you ever get this issue resolved? I have the same problem and can't find
a solution to it. Anytime that I try to enter an appointment, etc. by
clicking on the date block I get a message that the calendar is disabled and
cannot find how it happened or how to enable it.

I'm having the same issue. So frustrating. It's intermittent. Sometimes I
can make appointments, sometimes I can't, but it tells me the calendar is
disabled. Did you ever find resolution?

Here's a registry key you can change to enable Windows Calendar:
run Regedit and go to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Wiindows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Windows
and set the DWORD value of TurnOffWinCal to 0 (zero).

Liane:

Look at the calendar and on the left side, about half way down you will see
a small block that will have something in like "Liane's Calendar" - there is
a small block to the left of it. To enable the calendar, click the box to put
a check mark in it. If there is calendar shown in this block, then go to
"files" on the main tool bar and click on "New Calendar" - one should then
appear in the block with a check mark in the box to the left. There is
nothing regarding this in the help section, so it took a Dell Tech Support
person and me about 45 minutes to work this out and we finally stumbled onto
it by trying the Create New Calendar option.

Hope this helps. If so please let me know.

Thank you so much!! I had tossed my paper calendar and panic'd when my W's
calendar disabled wiping out all my appts. When I checked the box as you
said it came back with all my entries.
