I just purchased new hp desktop

travan 20/40 gb backup unit

windows backup sees drive, but says can't find new media.

I am inserting brad new media in drive

any help please.!!!!

try
Start
Run
type
compmgmt.msc
click OK
navigate to
Removable Storage
ensure Removable Storage is highlighted
Click Action on the menu
Select Help from the dropdown

you need to "create" media pools etc
at present your storage medium may be in the Unrecognized folder
it needs to be in the backup folder so your system knows its
allocated for backup storage.

if you go to
Start
Help
and on the Index tab type
backup media pools
there's a "defined" explanation
