How many times are we going to have to repeat this process. I have 4
computers with Windows XP (legitimate ones) and this week I had to do this
for third or fourth time on my main desktop and also on my wifes then again
on my laptop. i'm afraid to turn on the others. It seems to me that if they
have to download this software it should somehow let them know my software
has already been checked out. Any comments?

The only appropriate solution is not to push out this buggy WGA/N POS in
the first place. To call it a "high priority" update is sneaky,
misleading and a baldfaced LIE!

My guess is people are finding ways around the WGA. So, MS ups the ante
each time with newer versions.

As for this PC, windows update downloaded it, notified me ready for install.
I chose custom installation to see what it was. It installed fine, checked
out my PC. Same as before, authentic.

Thanks PA Bear I will follow your instructions.
