Windows application install problem

I used RegistryMechanic and my computer seems to be working Ok. But I can't
install TaxCutDeluxe+State. The Federal installs and the state looks like it
installs to. But when I try to run the state get error invalid code. I took
this same CD and installed on 2 different computers and program worked OK.
Does anyone have any ideas as to why this won't install on my xp prof. Note
my sons computers are xp home. It appears like on my computer the cd is not
putting in the code automatically like it should. Because the code is on the
CD somewhere and working on my sons 2 computers.

I have been in contact with them for over a week now. They suggested to
remove program and reinstall and to get another CD from the store. I did
both of these but still won't install. I'm convinced its not in the CD since
it installed on my sons 2 computers. Really a mystery to me why it won't
install on my computer since all the other programs work great.
