I agree completely. Microsoft is charging more than ever before and every
upgrade experience I am having does not work properly.
First I paid $139 for my upgrade from Business on my new Sony which
supposedly has the upgrade on the hard drive. It downloads some software and
says to follow the instructions on the screen, but there are no instructions.
It just takes me to file manager with some files. I try clicking on all of
them and nothing happens. I go back to the upgrade screen and it takes me to
the Web site to pay $139 again, even though I already have a receipt for
payment and it supposedly downloaded the setup file.
I call the 877 number and it says help is available Monday to Friday which
does me a lot of good when I need it this weekend and I do not have time
during the week.
Also, I just purchased Office Professional and I want to activate it on my
Sony. Well it says I have Office pre-installed and then I launch it and put
in my activation code and it will not accept it. Apparently it is looking
for a code for Small Business and I bought two copies of Professional. Then
it refuses to stop the setup process, but finally I get it to reboot.
Really for this much money, it should perform flawlessly and not just bring
me grief.
What do I do now?
