Windows Activation question?

Where or how can I check to see if my system has been activated? I've
had it 2 weeks, and I didn't activate it during setup, because I would
have to stand on my head to get the numbers off the back/bottom of my
pc, which I forgot to do before moving the desk around.

Now that I have it to enter, I have no activate icon, and when I tried
to activate through the Help Center, the activate now link would not work.

Is there a place I can check to determine if my computer has been
activated... somehow?

Pre-installed OEM operating systems are typically either
pre-activated at the factory or are BIOS-locked and do not required
activation as long as they're installed on the computer with which
they're sold.

The OS will let you know, with frequent (several times a day)
reminders, if you do need to activate. To check for yourself, Start >
All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Activate Windows.
Alternatively, Start > Run > "C:\Windows\system32\oobe\msoobe.exe /A."
It will probably tell you that WinXP has already been activated.

Thanks... I haven't tried the Run command yet, but I suspect you are
right, that it was activated by the OEM. I thought I got a reminder
when I did the setup and I declined; but I have not gotten ANY reminders
since. I thought I would get one if I didn't activate within 30 days.

Thanks to you and Will, I now have a method to check. Thanks again.
