I've just fired up XP and found a message telling me that
I have 3 days in which to reactivate XP due to
significant hardware changes. This was odd because the
onlt thing I've been changing on the PC is updating a
number of drivers. Absolutely no new hardware has been
installed since XP first installed (to my external
regret) a month ago.
When I tried to reactivate XP the Microsoft site told me
I had exceeded the number of activations and I had to
ring a toll free number to get a new activation code.
Total tosh, if you will excuse me.
There must be a bug in the software if this happens. No
new hardware installed and even if there was, I thought I
could change 4 of the 10 key components wihin 4 months XP
stopped recognising the PC before the OS was deactivated.
Anybody else experienced this issue?
