I had activated 6 months ago and had no problems.
I was able to work on the computer no problem this
afternoon. But after shutting down my computer to watch
football for 2 hours, I came back and started my
computer. My computer then pops up a message saying I
need to activate windows xp inorder to use it. But I had
already activated it and did NOT change its configuration
or delete and files like the wpa.dlb. Do I have to
activate every 6 months? I made a copy of the original
wpa.dlb file to my docs folder and tried to see if I
could copy that to the system folder but could get to a
prompt to do that. I also couldnt use the internet
connection to reactivate because apparently windows
doesnt boot up the modem drivers for my win modem. So I
called the phone activation.
Is there anything I can do so that this doesnt happen in
the future? Is there a way to see if the wpa.dlb file is
in the system folder before I activate again? Is there a
way to copy my backed up wpa.dlb file to the system
folder to see if it recognizes it before I re-register?
Thanks.
