Chris B.

I have a new HP computer with Windows XP Home Edition. I also have two
old computers which each are running Windows 98 Second Edition and Windows
98. The Windows 98 (both) have a very nice aquatic fish screen saver
entitled "Underwater" Screen Saver. I find in both Windows 98 versions in
windows/system two files: underwater.scr and underwater.dll. I am assuming
these run the nice aquatic fish screen saver. I don't find these in Windows
XP. Can I move these underwater screen saver files to my Windows XP Home
Edition computer? That is if both are required. If so, please advise me
how.
Any ideas? Thank you very much for your help.

You can copy out screensavers from your Win98 disk through XP's search
function, which looks into .cab and .zip files by default. I believe
you'll need to set it for the advanced options to get subfolders, and
the search might take a little while. I don't know whether the .dll
is required - you could set it to search for underwater.*, which will
locate all icons, cursors, etc. Or just try with underwater.scr and
get the other if required.

I extracted most of the Win98 travel theme this way.
