I have 2 machines that are running windows XP Pro. Both of
them are functioning with service pack 1.

We recently installed a 2003 sbs server to replace our old
system. We have 11 users using windows 2000 pro sp3/4. I
was able to copy the user profiles for all of the 2000
machines to allow them access to their profile once
they've logged into the network.

I cannot copy the profiles for the XP machines at all.
I've tried everything I can think of, but I keep getting:

"Cannot set security for destination profile - Access
Denied"

Has anyone seen this before, know how to fix it?

Please reply both to the group and to my email, as its
hard to find stuff here sometimes. thank you.

Hi Kenneth,

You might have better luck in the SBS 2003 newsgroup,
microsoft.public.windows.server.sbs
You don't mention if you were on a domain previously, or if you previously
just had workstations on a peer to peer network.
Using SBS's Set Up Computer wizard and the Connect Computer applet, SBS will
migrate over any local profiles that existed, so they'll work on the domain
like you mention.
The Set Up Computer Wizard is available from the Server Management console
on the SBS server, and the SBS help files also explain how this works.
