Hi everyone,

I am running Windows 2000 Pro. I had a problem with a
BKDR_ type of virus a few weeks ago and discovered that I
lost all of my folder toolbars and couldn't reset them.
Upon removal of the virus I was able to reset these by
using the F11 key method described in another post.
However, the toolbars are still not back to factory
default. What I am getting is a bar with larger then
normal buttons - the order of the toolbars is unusual and
I can't seem to move them in any way (I made sure that
the "lock the toolbars" option is unchecked).

I installed SP4 in hopes that this would fix my problem
but it did not.

Does anyone know how to reset the toolbars back to default
settings?

I have presented this problem to several Helpdesk
professionals and no one seems to have any idea what is
going on.

Thanks for any help.

George

Dave,

Thanks for the idea. Are you thinking that this might be a
profile corruption issue. I'll try this tonight.

This will confirm it if it is.
