Ok.. heres the deal.. I am running Windows 2000 and
yesterday I installed all of the office updates and when
it had to reboot after it was done it was SLOW. The black
screen with the white bar going across takes about 2
minutes to finish (used to take a matter of seconds). SO,
I didnt have anything to do last night so I re formatted
the HD and reinstalled Win2k. The problem is still there
and I have no idea why it just started doing this..

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also after it states "Verifying DMI Pool" there is a long
pause before it goes to that Black loading screen.

I would say the pause is about 6-8 seconds!

This just started yesterday after I installed the updates
from the microsoft site for Office 2000. I thought that
maybe it was something to do with the installation of the
updates so I just formatted the drive and reintalled
windows... But the problem is still there.

It used to go past that "starting windows" screen in a
second or 2, but now its more like 2 mins.. Startup takes
at 5 mins in total.
