windows 2000 not sutting down my power supply

i have windows 2000 pro, a trigem anaheim2 motherboard
with a 500 mhz celeron, and a 250 watt power supply in an
atx housing... wondering why, when i go to shut down
windows, it shuts down, but doesn't turn off my power
supply? is it windows or my power supply?
 
That's your BIOS. Enable APM support in the PowerOptions or flash the latest
release from manufacturer's site and reinstall to get ACPI HAL.
