Windows 2000 logoff problem

My problem is I have a new install of Win2000 and it is
patched and SP4 install but when i try to logoff it dosent
do anything. There are a few other user accounts
installed. Anyone ever see this before and know how to fix
it?
 
Doesn't work..

The system is w2k, no group policies running, McCafee
Viruscan 7 running, no firewall, no domain and no user
including administrator can log out.. every one can log in
but no one can log out.. No error msgs at all.. machine
just seems to forgot it was asked to
shutdown/reboot/logoff..
