Hi,
We have a Windows 2000 machine which, when restarted, will send an internet
email to a group of people. I would like to disable that feature but I can
find it (the guy who set it up did not document it and no longer works here.)
Below is a piece of the email, if it gives any clues. Is anybody aware of
any common practices regarding "restart emails" which I might look into?
Thanks!

Local Machine\Software\Microsoft\windows\current version\run
in regedit to see whats running , it may be an app that notifies the
receipient of a reboot.

I didn't find anything in either place which would be sending emails. Can
you think of anything else? I thought that it might be SQL server but that
is stopped on this machine.
