Hi,

I'm not sure if this is possible, but I'd like to boot Windows 2000 from a
CD. No, not a bootable installation CD, I can create those.
I need the Windows 2000 installation on a CD and boot from it as if it were
installed on a HD. Just like you can do with various flavors of Linux (f.e.
Knoppix).

Thanks a bunch!!

Sorry, not possible. Win2K needs write access to its boot/system
partition.

It's curious that you should ask this question, because there
is a famous namesake of yours who spent a lot of time in
creating a WinXP CD. It's usually referred to as the Bart CD.
