I have a new notebook with XP Home Edition NL installed (as my wife is dutch!

However, my Dutch reading is not very good and I want to set the language to English but for some reason it does not work

- Is it possible seeing as it is an NL adition(?)
- Am I doing something wrong (although I have used the MS guide to try and change/set up)
- Or do I have to get a language download (please let me know where) / buy an upgarde

Many thanks in advance for your help.

Windows XP is written in specific language versions, therefore one
cannot change it from one language version to another. You'll need
to purchase a "Full Version" of Windows XP in the language version
you want, reformat your drive and install it "clean".

Or if you have an available empty drive or partition, you can install
another "Full Version" of Windows XP in a different language version
and create a dual-boot configuration.

A good third-party partitioning program is Partition Magic 8.
