Using an application that merges to MS Word (GoldMine BCM). With recent
Windows update, getting an interruption screen asking if it's OK to link to
external data. MS posted a article to correct this... at

http://support.microsoft.com/defaul...port/kb/articles/q330/0/79.asp&NoWebContent=1

I checked the link and have a question...

The instructions state to look for the following:

Locate and then select the registry key that is appropriate to your version
of Word:
a.. For Microsoft Office XP or Microsoft Word 2002:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\10.0\Word\Options

The following is the corresponding policy key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Office\10.0\Word\Options
and it states if not found to add a "FieldCalcSecurityLevel" value but it's
not clear to me if it is under which setting above... (the first or second
registry entry above or both).

Any ideas?

I would think that it is referring to both registry keys. One seems like a general registry key the other seems like a security
policy registry key.

I'm glad I didn't update the Office XP's at work to SP2...I probably would've been pulling my hair out trying to find out why
Goldmine doesn't merge to Word anymore.

Have you checked the support groups at FrontRange? There are some very helpful people there.
gmnews.goldmine.com is the news server address.

Do you have the latest Goldlink installed? It may help to overcome this issue.

HTH,
Dave
