This is a really annoying problem that I have ALWAYS had
with IE and a solution has never been found.
On very rare occasions I want to make the IE window very
small - something like 200 x 200 pixels. So I re-size the
window and move it to a position on the screen that works
best for what I am doing at the time.
After closing the small window I find that EVERY TIME I
now open another window by right-clicking a link and
selecting "Open In New Window" the new window opens at
precisely the same small window location.
It doesn't matter what I do - I can re-size the window,
maximize it, power cycle the computer, etc. - ALL new
windows want to open in that same small location.
After a few hours or a few days, it magically fixes itself
and new windows open in a reasonable position.
Can anyone tell me why this happens and how it can be
fixed?
