Window not opening when cd put into cd reader

What is the problem when I put a cd or dvd into the cd\dvd burner, the small
window that DID OPEN BEFORE AND ASKED ME WHAT I WANTED TO DO, PLAY CD IN
WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER, OPEN FOLDER TO VIEW FILES, TAKE NO ACTION ..DOES NOT
OPEN FOR ME ANY MORE TO GIVE ME THE CHOICES??

right click on the drive in my computer and select properties.
select the auoplay tab.
you can select an action there or tell it to prompt you each time.

You should be counting yourself lucky! Most people wonder how to turn off
that annoying behaviour.
