Window focus

When I click an icon on my quicklaunch, I'm used to
getting a maximized screen with focus. Lately I get just
the opposite. It happens when I click several different
items, but the infuriating one is Google -- I end up
typing my search in twice most of the time because it is
minimized and I don't realize it. Most windows open
maximized with focus, however.

Anybody know of a fix for this?

Right click the Icon for the shortcut and select properties.

Make sure under Run you have chosen Maximized.

Thanks, Les, but I did that long ago. That part works fine.

This is a matter of a window failing to appear on the
screen at all after an icon has been clicked; not what
size it appears as.

Google opens but just sits on the taskbar and I have to
click a second time to bring it up so that I can enter
search criteria. It also happens with other icons
occasionally.

Why would I even click the icon if I didn't want access to
it? It's moronic!
