Rhonda,

You are future posting. Either set your time or time zone for the correct
time and post back.

Many people, including myself, will not respond to a future post.

I think you just responded to a future post, Sir_George.
Now pull that bug out of your arse and answer the woman if you have an
answer for her.

Jim,

Kudos for catching my mistake. I should have said "I don't answer questions
for people who future post."

FYI: The time and/or time zone setting on a computer can cause problems;
therefore, the OP will at least eliminate one potential cause of problems by
correcting the setting.

i agree

anyhoo

im not really sure whats causing this to happen however i would recommend
you stay away from using directCD or any other packet writing schemes as
they have always been buggy.. and you dont want buggy when it comes to
archiving your work etc.

id suggest you burn your cds using the regular non-packet writing way or
failing that purchase a usb key drive (thumb/jump etc..) they arent that
expensive and are a lot quicker for transporting stuff around i find

: )

I formatted one of my CDr's using Direct CD, (File System CDUDF) so I could
drag and copy files to it. Whenever I click on one of the files on the CD,
the Windows Explorer window always closes. It only happens with that one
particular file. Any ideas as to why this would happen. Using Windows XP, P4

Thanks in Advance.

Thanks a lot guys and again I am very sorry for future posting. I just got
back from Halifax a few days ago and my boyfriend was at the computer
(novice) so I am going to blame it on him. Gotta have some excuse hey, cause
I really don't know what happened. Anyhow I am going to take your adice and
stay away from packet writing, just to be safe.

However, the particular file (.rar) in question had an underscore in it, so
for whatever reason, I decided to rename it omitting the underscore. Fluke!
It worked fine then. Even when I tried burning it normally using Roxio and
Nero it did the same thing, it closed the Explorer window on me. It even
closed down the folder that the file was in. Anyhow thanks again....
