Window Explorer discussion group

where is the correct discussion group for Window Explorer problem. I keep
getting a problem of not responding when I try to access a directory. I sent
the report generated from the problem MS but I have seen no response anywhere.
Thanks for any answers.
 
Since I am here, is there either limits in the address section for
directories or characters within the address?

Working with a Windows developer a few years ago I think I remember
that we stumbled onto some limitation in Windows, something about a
limit on the maximum number of characters in any line. If I remember
correctly it was 4096 characters.

I was using their beta software, created a line that had about two
million characters in it, the software tried to display that, assuming
that windowing would handle displaying what would show in the window,
and all kinds of things blew up. They went digging and found that there
was some limit somewhere, but I can't give you a reference for that.

Throw a two million character line at it and see what happens.
You might be amused.
