In Win 98 in the initial setup you could bypass the
password screen and from there on out one could boot up
their computer without having the password screen appear.
You could turn on your computer, go get your coffee and
come back and it was at your desktop screen ready to roll!
Is their a way to avoid this screen in Win XP in either XP
or Classice view????? Just another small annoyance with XP.

thanks

1. Go to Start/Run and type in: control userpasswords2 and press ok.

2. On the Users tab, clear the Users Must Enter A User Name And Password To
Use This Computer check box and then click OK.

3. In the Automatically Log On dialog box that appears, type the user name
and password for the account you want to be logged on each time you start
your computer.
