I have found that if you right click on the winamp agent and click on
disable, then it will no longer load on startup.

I merely don't allow it to install.

Better yet, uncheck it at installation of Winamp. Select custom and ...

You can turn it off anyway in 0ptions>preferences>file types (under
general preferences)
