Hi everyone,

Is there anyway I can boot my PC with Win98SE bootdisk and still able to
access my NTFS drive? This is because I need to run some DOS application
that only working in before WinNT boot system.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thank you.

Company called Winternals has a DOS program called NTFSDOS that will do
that. It's a free version that can read NTFS but if you also want to
write....$$$$.

and bootdisk.com has at least one Win98/NTFS boot disks.

guys,

thank you very much for your quick help. i downloaded the NTFSDOS and copy
it into my Win98 bootdisk. Then add a line in the Autoexec.bat to run the
program at the very beginning to mount the NTFS drive.

wah la...it works and it will mount to D drive. now, I can run my DOS
program.

FYI, the REASNTFS program will only allow you to copy from NTFS file to
other drive in a computer. It cannot allows you run DOS program at the
command prompt.

You *can* buy an addon to allow access to NTFS from a DOS boot. They
are quite expensive, and I would not regard the approach as something
for routine use. You would in any case need then to reboot to XP.
Better to have a small FAT partition - and install DOS into it perhaps
