Hello,

We have 9 computers (WINXP Pro) and 1 computer (Win98) hooked up to a
16port Linksys switch that is hooked up to a Linksys BEFSX41
router...All of these computers are members of a NT 4.0 Domain...The
ONLY computer that is having problems connecting to the domain is the
Windows 98 one...Before we switched to the linksys router they all
worked perfectly for years, which leads us to believe there is
something to do with the Router and the Win98 machine...We can
temporarily get the Win98 machine to connect to the Domain if we
change the IP Address to some other number...Then when it stops
working somedays we have to change it to another IP Address to get it
to connect again...Any thoughts?

Thank you,
DJ

I run Windows XP on my host computer and three client
computers. I also run Win98 on one client computer.
1. Did you make a floppy of your set up in an XP
computer and run it on the Win98 Computer.
2. I had to set all of my computers to a static IP
address including the second ehternet card in the host
computer.

I had smooth sailing after that.

What do you mean by make a floppy of the setup?

We are currently using all static IP's as well
