Win2k < --> WinXP

I have two computers, one is using Win2k and the other is
using XP. I have been trying to connecting using a
crossover cable. I was able to ping my WinXP machine
from my Win2K machine but not vice versa. Any idea as to
what's going on and how to fix it?

Firewall set to repel pings on the Win2k machine?
