After installing .Net 1.1, a search (Files and Folders, Start Menu) for a
string that is also contained in the \WINNT\ASSEMBLY\ Fusion Cache folder
causes the search to stop at that point. e.g. search for 'basic', 'visual',
or even 'microsoft'. Seems OK under XP. 2003. Show hidden and system files
are turned on.
Uninstalling .NET makes SEARCH behavior normal. Reinstalling .NET creates
the problem again. I have been able to prove that the \assembly folder is
the point that search stops at.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a fix.
