Win2000Pro SP4

am getting BSOD before login screen:
KERNEL_MODE_FAILURE....KRNLOS32.DLL...goes on to tell me
if I've never gotten the error before to reboot and try
again, or if have gotten it before to try updating BIOS
or turning off BIOS CACHE. What am I looking at; can a
Recovery work, or am I looking at a total reload; been
limping along for months with no solution; Any help is
appreciated.

Next time you get the BSOD, write down the first
hexadecimal number and perform and perform a search on
Google or Microsoft. (ref microsoft support page:
