When trying to upgrade Win2k Pro (standalone) to XP Home, I get this
message: "Your current installation of Windows is not a supported
upgrade path".

What do I need to to do, I have to start from scratch on the
partition, & reinstall everything or is there any way to upgrade?

Windows 2000 Professional will not upgrade to Windows XP home. You'll need
to purchase the Windows XP Professional upgrade in order to upgrade from
2000 professional to XP. Or, you can purchase the full install of XP home
and erase your hard drive, then install XP (however, you may have some
hardware problems).

Hi Al,

Win2K can only be upgraded to WinXP Pro. To install WinXP Home, you would
need to format and start clean.
