Does anyone know if I can install Win Xp on an older
computer (233MMX) that is currently running Win 98 and
not have any problems? I suppose it will depend on the
motherboard. Comments? Help?

Hi

Your CPU is at the 'very' lower end of being able to run XP. Personally I wouldn't recommend you upgrading to XP ATM. The following article will give you some idea of the 'minimum' requirements for running XP:

"System Requirements for Windows XP Operating Systems"

Replace '128 MB is recommended' with '256 is a lot better'.

233MHZ is the offical minimum required for XP. Offical minimums
are usually much lower than practical minimums. That means that
it may work, but very slowly.

But the CPU you have is only one element of what's needed. How
much RAM you have, how much disk space, etc. are also important.

I wouldn't bother.
