I get the following message when I try to boot the
computer with Windows XP Home:
"Boot:Cannot find NTLDR"
"Please insert disk"

I insert the reinstall disk that came with the computer
and it goes through a complete reinstall and then when it
attemps to re-boot I get the same message.

Any Help would be appreciated.

Hope this assists you (make sure you haven't left a floppy in the A drive):

How to Repair the Boot Sector if XP won't start:

Possible cause is a damaged boot sector or a missing or corrupt ntldr or

Win XP CD.

Boot from the Win XP CD and enter the Recovery Console. At the Command
Prompt type the following ( "X" is your CD-Rom drive letter). Allow the
files to overwrite the old files
COPY X:\i386\NTLDR C:
COPY X:\i386\NTDETECT.COM C:

A damaged Boot Sector can be repaired at the command prompt by typing
FIXBOOT and press Enter. Then answer "Y".
