Win XP Shut Down

I am running Windows XP on a laptop. (No SP1 or SP1a
installed, it failed?!?!?!) The laptop shuts itself down
automatically. It appears to happen within a timeframe of
about 15 - 30 minutes on AC, idle or not. I have checked
all the power management settings and they are all set
to "never" shut anything down. Hibernation is enabled
however. I have searched everywhere for a cause and have
had no luck. Any clue?

Hello Donna,

Have you tried doing a virus scan with your Anti-Virus Program. If you don't
have any anti-virus program, try the following website- it's an online virus
scanner:
http://security.symantec.com/sscv6/default.asp?langid=ie&venid=sym
