Ihave successfully downloaded this Pack three times, and
proceeded to instal. Problem is installation never
reports as complete, even after several hours, and when I
check back with Downloads, I am told I should download
again.

Are you still connected to the internet during the install process? You have to be, other wise it won't finishing installing. It took me almost 4 hours to download, and install. I have dial up, and it's a pain in the butt.

I had similar problems. My solution was to do it the "old fashioned" way.
I called Microsoft and had them mail it to me on CD.

Win XP SP1 is $10. However, if you order the Security Update CD (which
includes SP1), it is free.

I don't have the MS 800 number handy, but you can get it at their website.

Cool. I ordered SU CD a couple of weeks ago, but was unaware it included
SP1. Anyone want to buy my original SP1 CD? <vbg>

Yepper - definitely cool! Another pleasant surprise is that, when I ordered
the SU CD, MS rep told me it included only the SU's through October 2003.
However, when I got/installed the SU CD, it had all the SU's through
February 2004 (in addition to SP1). Saves time in getting the remainder of
the SU's from the MS site.

Loren,
How long did it take you to receive the SU CD. I ordered one and haven't
received it yet.
Thanks,
Donna J.

I ordered it on 25 Feb 04, received it on 29 Mar 04. When I ordered it,
they told me it was on backorder and could take 6 to 8 weeks to
arrive...glad it didn't take that long.

How long have you been waiting for yours?

Hi Loren
I ordered mine on Feb 18th. I didn't get a message about a backorder
though. Then on 3/12/2004 I received an email saying the status was IN
Process. I then received a 2nd email stating that it was mailed on the 17th
of March. I set my PC back up from scratch and now I can't find the website
that I ordered it from. Do you happen to have the URL for the order page or
a page to recheck the status?
Thanks so much,
Donna J.

Lance,
Thanks again, I had gone to the Net.passport page and signed in but I
received a message that there was no order placed under this email address.
That's the only one we use with them.. So, I went ahead and placed another
order. I know the mail can be slow at times, but it's been well over the 2-4
weeks.
Thanks for your help.
